Speakers for Premium Audio

My 08 Nomad has the Kawasaki Premium Audio on it now, but Im tired of wearing a full face helmet. I wanted to see if anyone has had luck retrofitting this system with handlebar speakers. Any guidance would be helpful.

Speakers for Premium Audio

Build your own.. use 4-1/2" Chrome Harley Spotlights with Infinity or Polk 4-1/2" speakers (or your choice), mount on handle bars and power with an amp (of your choice), that will accomadate MP3 input. simple. Everyone at the local MC cruise night that see's and hears my system is really impressed. You wil not have any problem hearing it, no matter what speed or what helmet you wear. Ofcourse I'm a cheap ass, and won't pay $300.00 -$400.00 for some "advertised" MC stereo set-up. Yes, I hate wearing MP3 earbuds when riding!

Speakers for Premium Audio

Is there a jack to plug in a set of speakers? If so there is numerous marine speakers out there in case you get caught in the rain for an app like that.

I just got my Nomad with the Premium Audio System. I have the Shark 250W system that I took off my old bike. How would I connect the speakers to the Kawi audio system? Is there an adapter that would plug in where the rider connection is or would they be connected somewhere else?

Doesn't the premium audio system have an input for an MP3 player?

You could try this... http://www.gooddeals18.com/product/S...radio-pkg.html

Miamited... How do you like the Shark system? I've been debating one.

mobandy, that is similar to the one that I had. The one that I had also had usb and sd memory card slots. I had it on my Honda Shadow 1100 which had Cobra slash cut exhaust (which would set off car alarms in a parking garage). It was good but sometimes hard to hear on the highway. I had a windshield on that bike.

I was thinking of adding speakers to the Kawi system that is on the bike, not replacing or adding to it.

Gotcha... thanks for the input. I don't have any other suggestions then, since I don't have experience with tunes on the bike.
