Has anyone done the 4 way flasher mod from the fixit page? I tried it and could not get any results?

Which version did you use? It is on my list to do but I never seem to get around to it. My thought was use the relay method, or there is a third method using diodes. I would then use the park position of the ignition switch as the trigger for the relay as I never use it.

Just a slight turn off topic but Norm, what is the park position supposed to do?

Tim, do you guys not have that on the U.S model? When you turn the key to park, just the tail light goes on. I figure what is the point, especially if say you are stopped along the side of a road at night. All someone would see is a tail light up ahead and maybe not realize it is not moving.

It leaves your lights on, but not the ignition or fuel pump, if I remember correctly.

Correct, but only the tail light, at least on mine.

yes just the tail light Norm. Unless you have the run/turn/brake/ done. Then it turns on all three. I would have liked to seen the frt. amber signals come on.

That makes sense, you wouldn't want the headlight left on.

I added flashers using the relay suggested by Gadget, and modified it somewhat to fit my 08 Nomad. It took some playing around to make it work, I mounted the switch on the left side cover on top. I have to reach down to turn it on or off, but its out of the way so I don't accidently hit it. I am toying with the idea of adding an indicator light next to the speedo console to indicate when its set to flasher.

I only use the flashers for PGR missions.

True, but it would be nice to have the front parking lights on as well and not just the tail light.

The 4 way flasher is something I could have used a few times, it was in my plans to install someday.

I have the parts to do it using the relay but I just want it for when it's raining hard. I don't want the switch where someone could cut it on at a hotel and run my battery down. Mine will be controlled with the ignition on.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here. What if you are stranded at the side of a road and have to hoof it or catch a ride and need to leave the bike? Wouldn't you want to be able to use those flashers without the ignition on?

Just curious.
