Favorite Full-Face Modular Helmet

If you use a full-face modular helmet, which one do you use and what are its pluses and minuses?

I have a HJC IS-MAX-BT. I use it for extended trips, bad weather, that sort of thing. It is the only modular helmet I've ever owned, so I have nothing to compare it to. It is very comfortable and has a hidden internal half shield in addition to the outer shield.

I have this Gmax helmet.
You can read reviews here also.
I have had three Gmax helmets,2 fullface and this flip up.
I like them but as one reviewer said, the slider on top of the helmet for my sunshield did come apart. I called the store where I got it and they sent me a new one with a video of how to replace it. So I'm thinkin this may be a common problem with this helmet.
That being said I would buy this helmet again.

Modular Helmets

I don't have one but after researching I am considering the Shark Evoline 2. The chinbar goes all the way back but you can still use the clear shield or the sun shield. Lots of good comparison videos on revzilla.com

i'm like cactusjack...i have mine for cold and inclement weather....I have this Zamp helmet: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...id-Helmet.aspx and like it....I LOVE the inner visor, it does a GREAT job of shading my eyes from the sun....it raises and lowers easily from the left side of the helmet via the "slider"... check prices online...

Be SURE to check you head size and compare it to the provided size charts! :)

I took the helmet to the Crescent City rally. Coming back, I had over 300 miles in 110+ degree heat and it wasn't uncomfortable at all.

If you have a Cycle Gear around your area, go look at the Bilt line. They have 2 versions, one with a flip up sun shield and the other without. I had an HJC and it got to where it was wearing a hole in my forehead. The Bilt is very comfortable and priced well. Could use a little better ventillation though.

I have this helmet also, best helmet I ever had love the slide down
half sun shield. It is a very light weight topper and I now wear it
most all the time, summer and winter.

You don't ride with the chin bar up, do you?

I have a Fulmer. It's kind of noisy, enough so that it aggravates my tinnitus. I am due for a new helmet as this one is five years old. The short list is the Vemar, Shoei and Shuberth.

I have a Bell Star. Check out the review at http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motor...helmet-review/

I have a gloss black one. It flows more air than any other full face I have owned.

I have a HJC IS MAX BT. It matches the '10 Voyager black/Red pretty good. Easy to put on and off because it is a modular. Definitely cheap feeling compared to other helmets though.

I have a Bell Revolver Modular Helmet. Solid modular helmet. has more of a round fit than the the Bell star so not quite as comfortable for my shape head.

I tried the GMAX GM68S because it advertised a lot of air flow. It is OK but nothing like the Bell Star.

If you don't want to spend the money on a Bell Star check out the Bell Vortex. Same air flow in a more budget helmet.

Full Face Helmet

Last year I bought a Nolan N43 and really like it especially the flexibility it offers.
