Horns not working

My horn quit working. Fuse is still good. What do I check next?

The only "fer sure" way would be to bypass the switch and see if the horn works...if it does, it's the switch.

After the fuse comes the button.

Mine quit working about a month ago. Checked the fuse (good). put the fuse back in and was going to get into the button but tried it first. It worked. Haven't a clue what was wrong but it still works. Rememebr the button does not have +12VDV. It's connect to the ground (-12VDC) side of the horn.

My stock horn quit working too. Replaced it with a Stebel. Chances are the Stebel was cheaper than the OEM horn.

Take the horn off the bike and go over to the battery on your car. Test it using the car battery.

Or test it the same way with your motorcycle battery...just hook it up direct.

Your title "Horn not working" reminds me off a bumper sticker a Friend had on her car. It read "Horn not working, watch for finger".
Sorry, it just struck me as funny, carry on.

You could be pushing the starter button.
That is what I did the other day and then told Cindy the freakin horn stopped working.
She told me I was on the wrong side of the handlebar.

If you start mixing up the clutch and the front brake, maybe you better buy a scooter.

I cleaned the switch up and it has worked since. Give it a try.

If you get in a situation where you need your horn I would start screaming as loud as I could.

Just had to do that Jared. I would clean the switch and the connections.

I would check for power and ground to the horn first. (obviously the button will need to be pressed w/key on. If no power and good ground, check control and feed circuits on relay (stebel). should have power all the time on one and power on another with the button pushed (control). Chase the circuit w/o power.
