Any thoughts on handlebar speakers?

Tired of earbuds and I'm just wondering if anybody has had any good reports, suggestions on handle bar speakers/mp3 players. Not wanting to break the bank but want to hear them at highway speed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have the shark audio 250 amp with 2 speakers. Sounds good even on the highway. The FM radio does not get good reception. Small wire for antena. I use my Sony MP3 player and it has FM. Works great. It will be for sale since i have a Reckless Fairing with stereo coming soon. It was $120 new. Black speakers.

I have a SENA helmet intercom with Bluetooth and MP3 connection. That is all I use now.

Make your own, I did! HD 4-1/2" Spotlights, 4" Infinity Speakers and a small Pioneer amp. Blows the Sharks away (my friend has one). 75mph both me and my passenger are rockin-n-rollin. Whatever you choose, I'm convinced the speakers you get have the most to do with the sound quality.

I'd just get a fairing and mount a stereo in that.

Or, he could just buy a Vaquero or Voyager for that matter.

I've heard the Shark audio systems are pretty good and they are pretty inexpensive. Some people like them, some don't. I guess it depends on what your tastes are. I thought I was going to buy one, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. There are a lot of YouTube videos about the Shark audio systems.

By the time you spend $500 on a handlebar stereo setup and buy a new MP3 player, etc you could have just about bought a fairing.

+1

Also you might want to consider mounting them to your crash bar instead of the handlebars.

If you mount BOOMBOX with some duct tape to your handle bars. You might be a redneck.
