For You Folks That Hate The Headset Connector

I hated where Kawasaki decided to put the headset connector so I fixed it. Used a 6 ft 7 pin extension from Air Rider ( http://www.airrider.com/category_s/392.htm ). The holder for the connector is a Goldwing part. About $5.50 from the dealer. Here's some pics.

I had the very same one on my Yamaha Venture.

I installed mine on Friday, much nicer. Still looking for an option on mounting though. I read some negative comments about those Goldwing holders and paint, so for the time being I tie wrapped to bar in the middle.

What did you guys do with the excess cable? I assume it's just coiled up under the tank/seat somewhere.

Einstein - I used some 3M tape to hold mine on. The holder had 2 rubber pins that would go thru the holes in the GW fairing. Cut them off and used the tape.

Fooch - There wasn't too much extra so I just wrapped it up under the tank.

Hate is such a strong word. Life's too short to go through it hating a headset connector.
