Rear Trunk

Can anybody tell me the difference between the 2007 Nomad Back Rest and 2011 Back Rest other than the part number. Did the number change because the bike was made a 1700 instead of the 1600? I have a friend who put a 2011 Voyager trunk on his 2011 Nomad. While at the dealer yesterday I was inquiering about this. The dealer said the Trunk is bolted on using the Back Rest and the two lower screws on either side of the Back Rest Frame. I am trying to find out if it will fit the 2007 Back Rest. They both look identical to the eyes other than the fancy side skirts they put on to hide the frame of it. Is there anybody who can measure their 1700 Nomad Back Rest? Also has anybody had their Trunk off of their Voyager yet and seen how it is connected?

The Voyager trunk is fastened to the frame at the same 4 locations as the 1700 Nomad backrest.
It is not the same bolt pattern as the 1600 Nomad.
