VN1700 Air kit

I'm starting production this week on the Air kit for the 1700 engines. This will keep the bike looking completely stock, using the factory covers still and draw 100% from the right side.
Will be a complete out of the box kit including the K-N filter. I have the proto-type installed on my Voyager and wow what a performance gain!

I will be taking first come first serve on this run and will have them on the website soon too.

PM me or post here if you have any questions

From what I understand, most, if not all, free flow intakes will have top end performance gains. How is yours in the bottom end compared to the stock intake? Have you had a chance to do any dyno run comparisons similar to what Thunder Mfg provides?

I wouldn't want to sacrifice everyday drivability for some top end boost (that I may not be able to take full advantage of).

Thanks!

That taken in consideration, I can say that the runs better now with the cooler air, and performs great from idle up through the rpms. No sacrifice to low end at, better than it was stock hands down.
For dyno test my 1500 and 1600 kits have been set on dyno's with great results, and rest assured this will be the same.

Joe, by adding your kit to my 1700 will I also have to change out my exhaust or will I see a noticable change with just the air kit?

I had the V-H pipes and went back to stock and im loving the performance gain. I thinking of doing the debaffle on the stockers sometime later.

Nice, I'm definately interested in hearing more. Do you have to put in a programmer with this install? Is it a pretty straight forward simple install? Perfect timing as I'm looking for an intake now to improve the perfomance.

If you add more air...you will need to add more fuel...and thats where the performance gains come from. Definately worth the price of admission.

How does the kit work if the factory covers are in place and all the air is coming in from the right side ?
