Salmon Run '12 - Follow the Eagles to Squamish. Sunday, Sept. 16.

Salmon run is a mysterious and powerful event in the cycle of life. For motorcyclists on the Westcoast, it will also become known as the mysterious and powerful event of the year.

It will always happen on the third Sunday of September (one Sunday before the Oyster Run), and though you may not know why you should, you should and will join the ride to our spawning grounds. (details to follow).

Salmon Run '12 - Follow the Eagles to Squamish. Sunday, Sept. 16. Start at Trev Deeley's (our "Chinook Sponsor") A breakfast and send-off blessings by the First Nations members. Ride the Sea to Sky Highway to Squamish where the largest population of bald eagles gather for the salmon run. Official Welcome by Squamish First Nations and the City of Squamish; Salmon BBQ lunch and great entertainment. Join the inaugural Salmon Run on Sept. 16 - Eat Salmon before Oysters.

Original announcement is at http://trevdeeley.com/Events#.UFFoVBikvKJ

That sounds like a great day, The salmon bbq lunch alone would be all the reason I would need to go. Planked salmon is one of my absolute favorites, and the oysters would be over the top!

The Spring salmon is now available in our local market and we love it! Though the salmon count is low this year...

I usually don't do large group rides but I might ride the Salmon Run. The route is world class, I wish you guys could come and ride the Sea to Sky HWY.

Kris - doesn't sound like you're gonna do the salmon run. Most likely, Rick will be solo, if he goes because I'm quite busy this weekend and I cannot make it, either.

Maybe next year?

Cheers,

E.
