Random accessories questions

I've never had a cup holder and am not sure how it would be since there isn't a ton of room on the top of the bars and wouldn't want it to hit the fixed fairing. What ones are you guys using on your vaqueros? How do you like them?

Also, I have searched far and wide and all I can ever seem to dig up is threads on their legality. I care not about that as I have them on my cars and have always had them on my cars. I want a smoked license plate cover for my bike. I cannot seem to find them anywhere.

I would be careful about a smoked license plate cover. Most of the states have laws mandating a license plate must be readable from a certain distance. They go further by saying there can be no covers of any kind on a license plate. Gilbert, AZ down here, is extremely picky about reading the license plates to the dismay of many a sport bike rider that did not have a horizontal license plate frame. If there is a cover on the license plate expect to be stopped in a lot of states.

You could probably make a smoked cover with a piece of plexi glass if you really want one.

A ram mount cupholder is most versatile.

+1 on the Kruzer kaddy. I re-machined the flats on the anti-tip, was too loosey goosey for me. Now it's nice and solid.

I wanted to mount something to left bag crash bar. Elevate it and slight angle forward so you could reach easily. Ive got 38 sleeve and ride solo 99 % of time too which helps this theory.
Something like old artillery shell on piece of conduit - just thinking out loud here.....

I was considering mounting something to the front crash bar but figured it would take long to get pretty hot. I dunno. Definitely some good ideas on here.

For a bottle holder, I put a cold water bottle in a coozie and push it down between the handle bars and the windshield. I also put frozen water bottles in the bags for use further down the road. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I don't need a cup holder.

I mounted a long ram mount to the highway bar mount and ran it out just inside the fairing. It comes out right in the corner behind the fairing and under the tank just in front of my knee. Gets a little warm from engine heat but I love the placement. I just don't like having that big thing on the bars. Doesn't look real clean.

That's an interesting idea. Not sure I love it though. Would worry about the bottom of the drink container rubbing against the tank. I don't drink coffee either and have a windshield bag so can't put bottles there. I think a crash bar mount for a bottled water might be the way to go.
