Crying Summer's over

Snow in central Idaho today. I can see snow on the mountain south of town. Riding season is coming to an end all too soon.

Hopefully, it's over here as well. I think we have seen the last of our highs much over a hundred.

Despite the approach of Old Man Winter there is no way I would live in that furnace that you call home CJ.

From about now until early May, this is a great place to live.

Still some great riding left to do here... but mornings are chilly and it won't be long that white crap will be all over the place But until then, it's fall and the leaves are changing colors and the rides are just beautiful from noonish to 5ish

Investing in heated gear to hopefully allow me to ride year-round here in Tennessee, minus when the roads are slick. I can't see paying for a parking space year-round that I wouldn't use for nine months, just so I can have it for about half of the other three. Monthly parking in Nashville is getting to be an issue!

Here in Chattanooga it always seems that it stays a little warmer, a little longer. Last winter didn't seem to come near as early as it appears to be this year. With all of the summer rain this year, and the early onset of fall, I feel very deprived of ride time. Not much of a wet/cold rider, I may just have to suck it up and get appropriate gear if I want any significant ride time in the near future!

Cool mornings here as well, but no snow yet. The leaves are turning and starting to fall.

We may have a late fall.. all the leaves are still green and not falling at all. High temps are still in the 80s and 90s but the mornings are noticably cooler...like 60s.
I plan to ride thru November and see what the temps get down to. Gonna add the larger lowers I bought last year this weekend. No heated gear in the budget so its layer up or drive the truck.

Most stable doesn't necessarily mean best. 70 degrees here, 0% chance of rain, low humidity, not a cloud in the sky, maples blazing with color and apples ripening in abundance. Pretty hard to beat if you ask me.

My favorite time of year to ride here in Texas. Cool mornings, mild afternoons. Can't beat it.... well, maybe except the scenery.

October is my favorite month to ride. It is often the driest with cool nights and warm days. I hope to be on the road a lot this Oct.
