New Nomad owner question

Just bought my Nomad today, and I have a question - the first of many, I'm sure.

What is tthe purpose of the second windshield behind the main windshield and how is it adjusted?

New Nomad owner question

If you're short like me and don't need the shield raised
higher than sitting on the headlight, the only purpose it
serves is to catch dust and look bad after awhile. If taller
it stays on the headlight while you raise the shield keeping
the airflow from coming under the shield. Most who don't
need the shield raised end up taking it off. This will require
spacers. Easiest way is to go to you local hardware and
get a piece of plexiglass the thickness of the shield. When
you take the shield off, there are 2 inner pieces of metal
the shape you need to cut the spacers. Use that as a
template, make your cuts, drill the holes and put it back
together without the inner shield. It's a PITA to do but you'll
only do it once.
Ride safe,
Dano
