*** KawaNOW Groups announcement

It has been discussed over the past week among the KawaNOW staff about how to improve our Group section here on the forum. So, the staff and I have come up with a few things to help improve the usage and make it more fun for you guys......

1. Each group or area will have a Group Leader. This leader can be voted on by the group or can PM me if they wish to be a leader. First come, first served. One leader per group please. Blowndodge has already been appointed the Group Leader for the California group, so if you would like to be a group leader, get with me asap. I'd like to see each area have a group leader.

2. We keep the password arrangement the way we currently have it on the group boards for security. We shift the password responsibility to the group leader. If a member would like to obtain the password for their area, they will need to PM the group leader of that area. The group leaders login name will be displayed in the group header.

4. The wording of each board will be changed to something like this:
KawaNOW California Hooligans Riding Group/Information - (For password PM Group Leader: Blowndodge)
-or-
KawaNOW Texas Lone Star Riding Group/Information - (For password PM Group Leader: ?????)

5. Each group can come up with their own unique mascot or name. For instance, the California group are the "Hooligans". They can even come up with a logo that they can post on their footer in their profile. Please keep your name simple and vulgar free.

Now everyone go to your prospective group and get somebody to be the leader/password giver. That will relieve the work load on Trip somewhat.

Good ideas guys, but can we get a group for Maryland. Maybe add it to the Pa one of Va? Or do I just pick one of them and request a password?
