I put running lights in my batwing fairing
I have been wanting to do this since I designed these LED lights and Custom Dynamics makes. I always wondered what they would look like mounted in my Reckless Batwing fairing. I got enough nerve and cut the holes. They adjust to any position and when I got done I think they are looking good. I like how I can flash them brighter at drivers just by moving the front forks a little. I wired them to Show Chrome bar mount switch, but I haven't turned them of yet day or night.

Want more pics of the other sine and of these lamps too. Not sure what to make of flash other drivers though. Is that for effect to be seen? or is it something else?
I don't take kindly to things that cause road rage much. Riding a bike and being angry at the same time are a bad match. Not saying you did / didn't / otherwise. I just want to know.

I can see why you were reluctant to cut into the faring but I think they came out great.

Looks great and it's a great idea I think. Kind'a like moving a rear brake light up above the lift gate of an SUV or on a pick up.. get the lights up where people are actually looking. .............maybe,........unless it's one of those texting idiots
 you see while driving.

I actually designed these lights that Custom Dynamics makes and sells. I needed something to design around for lower fairings but after we built them I started thinking of putting them elsewhere on my bike. They are fully adjustable just needed semi flat surface.
I almost put two sets on each side and thought that would be too much for this bike. Although I have relay and future plans to install a set in my saddle bag doors and connect to the turn signals and use them like Cadillac side marker turn lights. I have been on some pretty dark roads at night that some side light when turning would really be nice. The lights actually don't flash but since the lights have both 30deg and a 20deg beam angle lens on the LEDS they get brighter straight down from the lights so they follow the fairing movement. If you move the bike left or right in the lane changes the brightness to oncoming or side traffic. |

Can we see the back side of one and another from the back side apart? I am guessing there is a very big bezel nut, but the back side is not 'Finished' to be attractive exactly
