1700 left side engine cover

On the 1700's when we drop the stock air boxes off and go with an aftermarket unit like I did, it leaves the left side open. I would like to know if any member is aware of a chrome or black triangle-shaped piece that can bolt on the left side of the motor to dress it up. I searched all over the net and came up blank. Please help.

Search the archives... there's everything from a made-for-the-job Thunder Manufacturing part to all sorts of homemade alternatives. It's not a bad place to mount a chrome Stebel air horn, either.

On my bike, I put a Chuckster's BAK under the right side OEM cover, and kept the left side cover in place. It has an extensive tool kit, spare headlight bulb, roll of duct-tape (see sig), and a tire repair kit in there. I keep an allen key elsewhere, for access.

Peg thanks for the link....I would have never thought to go to Thunder for that little side plate. A little spendy but a nice piece. I may get one before you can't find em anymore.

Check chuckster's customs too. Joe Norris (chuckster) has some offerings on his website too. Chucksterscustoms.com
