I looked into this on my 14 Vaquero and found that the 1700 Classic has "more forward" controls problem is it would cost a fortune to buy all the parts involved to do the swap, would be doable with a doner bike for all the parts.

CBO Vaquero

The part numbers for the driver floorboard mounts on the Vaquero and Classic are the same. I don't see how the classic would have floorboards that are farther forward. Perhaps the seat is farther back, or shaped to seat you farther back.

Have you looked in to a new seat? The Corbin moves you back, and they have a tall person option that will move you even farther back.

Mustang seat sits you about 1-2" further back. It also sits you about 1"-1.5" higher.

Take a look at the photos on Ivans page.
It does look like the floorboards are further forward on the Classic.
Look at the back of the floorboard on the Classic relative to the engine compared to the Vaquero.

The frame is different on the Classic than the Voyager or the Vaquero. It sits different and the leg position is different. I've never taken a close look at each of them to compare the differences.

Here's a site that shows the seated position differences between bikes.

Yes, the frame is different Olathe classic. Mount point for the floorboards in particular.

I know a guy who moved the floorboards back on his Voyager. He really should have bought a wing, but he bleeds green.

He created a bracket that mounted to the frame with new holes for the floorboards.

Of course, if you had bought a Harley, you could have order longer floorboards and shift and brake levers out of the parts catalog.

Or just do what I did when I owned my Voyager, and install highway pegs. When cruising my heels are on the boards, and toes on the highway pegs.
