Iron 883 VS Vulcan ???

I have been riding GS 1200 for the past 5 years and now I decided to add a cruiser in my garage, for that, I was looking for Vulcan 900 and the Harley 883 Iron but not sure which one would be better for me. I have not ridden any other cruiser before so just looking for an entry-level machine to get used to the sitting posture and handling and switch to the bigger machine.
What do you guys suggest? Which would be a better choice for a beginner cruiser biker??

I have ridden both and currently own an 883 Hugger.....I like the HD because it reminds me of the Norton 850 I had years ago....the Iron should be a bit smoother (less vibs) than my Hugger because it has the rubber mount engine. It will not be as smooth or nearly as comfortable as the Vulcan (I have owned two 1500 Vulcans and both were excellent). Test ride both and make your choice.

You might also look at the Vulcan S cruiser......I've never ridden one but it shares the engine with a Versys and a Ninja. Pretty fast for a 650 bike.

R1200GS? Or a different GS? If it's a BMW, it couldn't be a more different of a ride. The sportster will be a harder riding bike with short range and you'd be happy about that. It is a HD though. If you want a bike that has that edge but is a better bike and still a HD, take a look at the Softail Standard. Probably money better spent.

Greetings,

My (unwanted) two cents...

My son owned an 883. While it was fun and as back to basic motorcycling as you can get, it is not as comfortable as the Vulcan 900 (which my daughter owned for a while. She now rides a 950 Yamaha.). The 900 Vulcan would get the nod from this family...

Ride safe,
Smokier

Just bought the Vulcan 900, now looking for some luggage.
I googled and landed on https://www.vikingbags.com/harley-da...cycle-tank-bag, price is ok, not sure about the quality but would that fit on the Vulcan 900 as it mentioned as Harley specific product?

Please do let me know other options I can have under that budget?
