Muffler clamp torque?

I am reinstalling the cobra true duals on my 2005 Nomad. What are the torque specs for the muffler clamps?

Head pipes I think I do 10 or 12 ft lbs. Clamps on mufflers I just torque down good.

In your Clymer Repair Manual, pg.25, bottom of page, table 5.....torque specs for bolt size. You can use the one in the Machinerys HandBook also, its also avail online if the mfg'er doesn't have the torque spec in the install maanual. Maintenance torque specs are on pg.10 in quick reference spec. in repair book....
If unsure, torque to 85-90% of rated torque in the charts, add some blue medium sstrength locktite, all should be good.....This should give you a big enough safety margin without compromising holding strength.
Head bolts, rod bolts, clutch basket, cover bolts, oil intake screen, spark plugs, drain plugs, etc.....the super critical ones, go by the repair book....

Idk if the Cobras have the same prob as the Vance&Hines of the rear header pipe cracking. I have the Vance&Hines and I leave the muffler clamp on the L side a little loser than the R just so that pipe can move a little and hopefully not crack the header. No probs with leaks and no pipe crack.
