Hey there.... I'm sure a lot of guys will chime in. I've done the BD Baffelectomy, but I'm saving my pennies for the V&H Baggers. A lot of guys on here have gone to those. Some have the Cobra True Duals.... IMHO, you can't go wrong with either.

Me personally, I would recomend the Vance & Hines dual baggars. There are several options depending on your tastes. If you like loud, you would like the V&H, and the baffles are removeable thus modifiable, wereas the Cobras, although a little louder than stock, and a great looking exhaust, have the baffles welded in.
just my $.02 worth

Stock pipes do come up once in a while, check VROC & Delphi forums as well, there was some available a few weeks ago. But I like the V&H as well.

Asking about pipes around here is like asking about politics or religion...we all have our opinion!

I'm a McCain (not many options there), Christian, Vance & Hines man myself.

I have the V & H baggers on mine, and I really like them. I haven't heard a Nomad with Cobras on it, so I can't compare them to those. All I know is that the stock pipes were way too quiet and the baggers have a nice rumble to them.

Opinions are like belly buttons - everyone has one! Now for mine - Cobra's! Not as loud - buddy has V & H on his new one and had Cobra's before - he says he like the Cobra's better! I don't remember hearing his with Cobras's? I finally got to hear a set on a Nomad last bike night and I like it. IMHO Also heard a set of Roadhouse Duallies on a 1500 Drifter - they sounded nice too!

Your choices are limited - As I remember, choices were: V&H, Cobras, Jardine and Roadhouse.

I bought the V&H but would have got the Roadhouse if they had their company back in order. As stated the Cobras are great, but you can't tune them (and I have played with my V&H) and Jardines are junk.

anything else would be custom - I REALLY wanted black pipes, but noone sells them so far.

The new style cobra true duals the baffles are removable. I the ones with the billet tips they sound good. I also had the older slash cuts with the welded in baffles. They had a more tinny sound than these. The ones i have now are a deeper tone.

Does anyone have a sound byte of the V&Hs and the Cobras ?

I'm leaning toward the V&Hs just trying to find a good place to buy them.

Rick, I know there is a video post on youtube of a guy that put cobras on his Nomad. He has a video clip of the stocks, and then a video clip of the Nomad with Cobras. It's a good comparison of the two, as you can hear both. Just go to youtube and type in "Kawasaki Nomad" in the search line.

I just bought the V&H from Dennis Kirk for around $430 including shipping. Cheapest that I could find. I love the sound too. Nice and deep rumble to them.
