?difference between 1500 and 1600 light bar?

Can anyone explain how a light bar mounts differently for a 1500 versus a 1600?

I saw a good deal on a 1500 light bar, that I'll probably miss now, but was wondering if I could make it fit a '07 1600, with a little modification.

Thanks,
Scott

BTW: If you need a 1500 light bar, this one looks like a good deal.
Hope I didn't spoil it for someone.

The way it mounts to the triple-tree is different (location and bolt pattern), and since you have to reuse your OEM turn signals, the 1600s won't fit on the 1500s lightbar because the signals are different.

I'm glad to hear it and I'm glad we were not bidding against each other. :)
That's a really good deal.

Congrats redeye, you did get a good deal and a good looking bar ;). I have had no bad experiences from shopping on ebay, several of the things on my bike came from there.

The only bad experience I've had on E-Bay is trying to buy leather chaps. Last year I had to buy 4 pairs before I got the correct size. I would order the right size as per their size chart. Every time the chaps were too big & looked like I was wearing clown pants. I would sell them on Craig's list & reorder a size smaller until I ended up with a size small. So, I did learn that when it comes to clothing & helmets I buy locally....-Rich

As posted above I won this on E-Bay. This is a Kawasaki Fire & Steel brand light bar. The ad said, "fits all Nomads". As it turns out, this is for a "G" model Nomad which is 1998-2001 model years. It has a bracket which mounts to the front of the forks as opposed to the windshield bracket which is how my 2003 would mount. Even though I thought I scored an excellent deal, I ended up with a light bar I cannot use. As the old saying goes, BUYER BEWARE..................-Rich

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that. That sucks that they couldn't get the description right.

You might be able to list it back on e-bay or Craig's list.
