Battery Removal

Being a new Nomad owner, What is the easiest way to remove the battery? Also, What is the easiest way to remove something that melted on the chrome exhaust guard?

Battery Removal

I don't think there is an easy way to remove the battery. I just took mine out for the winter and what a pain in the a$$.
Next year I will leave it in and use a battery tender.
I have heard oven cleaner on the exaust works but don't know for sure.

Battery Removal

I have never removed the battery but did hook up my battery tender jr to it which I love. The pig tail slides right in between the seat and the plastic piece under it on the left side (totally out of sight)
heres another thread on the pipe cleaning http://kawanow.proboards77.com/index...3520918&page=1

Battery Removal

Easy Off will work nicely to get the melted material off...I have used it from small jobs like boot melt...to an entire plastic bag that melted on my pipes......then you can use some chrome polish if you want ..

Run the bike a few minutes to get the pipes hot (dont have to be WAY hot) and then put the Easy Off on...follow the directions on the can....then rinse of everything and wash really good with water/soap

Dont get the Easy Off on any painted surfaces.

Battery Removal

Ive used a razor blade to remove small areas of black stuff off the pipes, it worked well for me. Then a bit of polish to finish the job.
