1600 Nomad Saddlebag side rails for sale

Just took off my saddlebag rails from my 2007 1600. I just installed chuck's trailer hitch as I have purchased a used Bunkhouse trailer. The rails do not fit with the hitch. I ordered them off of Ebay last fall, so they had very little use. Wish I had seen this post earler, could have save you some money. I am trying to download a photo to photo bucket so you guys can see a picture of them. I did not get any mounting hardware with the rails, so I used a slightly longer bolt for the front mount and used some spacers and bolts that I had for the rear mounts.

I'm glad you posted your reasons for not using the rails. I just ordered a hitch for my Nomad and was thinking about getting the rails as well.
Thanks for saving me some money.

Thanks "namvet",... I went down and picked them up today. I got them home and they were on in 20 minutes. They look sweet. No picks but one day soon. Oh and the side bolts were long enough and I had two S.S. bolts, nuts and fender washers on hand. Thanks for the great deal.

I am happy they worked out for you, I did like the way they looked, but just can't use them now with the hitch.

I don't leave my hitch on all the time, so when the hitch is off, the rails go on.

My rails are hanging on a rafter brace in my attic with the longer bolts taped to them. After Custer I'll probably take the hitch off for a while and put the rails back on. If I need service at the dealer, I'll pull the hitch off even though they sell them there.

Okay, you guys with the trailer hitches can use them with a small modification! You need to cut the upper rail away from the bottom rail just above the part that bolts to the back rail of the hitch. Then mark the Hitch rail ( part that goes from one side to other and drill a hole in each side to mount the rail to. Get longer bolts and bolt thru the hitch rail into the sidebag rails. Did mine in 2o minutes and looks real good!http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/e...hpPAoBarPM.jpg
