More Visibility on Your Rear - Easy & Cheap
No, It does not make the A$$ of the Nomad look big. It just makes it more visible when illuminated.
UPDATE: Copied from the general section per Dan Lund's suggestion. A very simple, quick, and low cost mod for the 1600 Nomad. Once materials are in hand installation time is less than 1 hour. If you ride a lot at night this is a very simple and effective passive system. I added DOT reflective tape to both the pinion back rest and bag support cross-brace. Got the tape at Wally World. It is what is used to mark semi trailers. I had did something very similar to the 1500 Nomad shortly after I got it. The 1600 has some small cutouts on the backrest trim plate. I remove the cover and put red tape behind it and reinstalled. Then I cut a strip to fit just above the emblem. Pics below Finished product. Night View Compare 2000 1500 Nomad (Left) to 2008 1600 Nomad(Right) How To Mark back plate then remove backrest and emblem plate Apply Red tape to mounting plate covering emblem plate hole outline marks. Trim a white piece to fit above emblem. Use razor to trim along edges. Reassemble and you're done. It is a one hour or less project.. Login or Register to Remove Ads |
