I have not done the horn, but from a wiring perspective it is not too hard, just use a relay and follow the instructions. The existing horn power will activate the relay, so you just need power from the battery, a ground, and the wire to the horn.

There is the compressor, and that is where the 'horn power' goes. Looking at the wiring for the horn, you power the compressor technically, not the actual horn.

bugman, you could just sell me the horn for what you paid and not have the hassle
I tried to get the horn along with the windshield bag I bought but you got there first ;)

It isn't hard to do. Most folks mount the Stebel in the same location as the stock horn. You can either build yourself a mounting bracket or remove the stock bracket, turn it over and flip it end-for-end and it will work just fine.

To wire it, you need to run a fairly heavy-gauge, fused wire from the positive battery post to your horn location. You connect the stock horn wiring to the relay, this will act as a "trigger", then you connect the wire from the battery to the relay, then run a wire from the relay to the horn. It's pretty simple, really. I don't have access to it right now, but I have a schematic diagram that shows how to wire it. I'm sure Gadget's page has one as well.

pretty easy to install and kinda of a fun and rewarding project. im not electrically skilled and I did mine just fine. I made a custom bracket out of aluminum which keeps it rock solid. Working LOUD!!!!!

Pete,

I have one on my bike as you know. I'll be home tonight. If you don't remember where I live give me a call.
