Come to Louisiana, you can run open headers down here as long as you don't act like a total idiot. Don't speed though, they'll hammer you for that.

***UPDATE*** the deal on here for the used pipes fell through but i found some on ebay at a good price. I have installed them, removed the baffles, removed all the packing and then reinstalled the baffles. So far these sound great!! What can I expect from the UB?? Just curious...Thanks!!

The Ultimate Baffles are louder and beafier at idle. MUCH better than stock vh pipes imo

Nice!! Thanks Utah...what about the sound while in route? Is it deeper and louder as well??( If so I cant wait for these!!) My buddy has a Nomad 1500 and his jaw dropped after I installed the V&H's. If these UB's make a difference, he may be looking into some V&H's with the UB's.

What kind of deal were you able to find? Was this a web store or an individual sale?

I found them on Ebay new for $419 with free shipping. not bad considering they go on here used for $300-$350 plus shipping which can run around $60. So I went for the new set for just a little more.

Oh yeah........they make a difference all right...

. If your buddies jaw dropped from the stock V&H....he will sh*t himself when he hears the UB's....and you will really love the deeper, richer sound!

Do these cause headaches at cruising speeds?

Nope, the sound isn't very loud at crusing speeds. That said, the sound is always behind you.....letting you know though that there's a rumble under your seat! As close to perfect as you can buy.
