Time to send this thread back up to the top of new topics. We might need a reminder. :)

Rickyboy & Ponch, 2 of the bikes are what I did own (2005 Goldwing & 2008 Nomad), I now have the 2010 Voyager. After having all 3 bikes, the wing was the best for long distance (over 1,000 miles) but I like the Nomad over the Voyager. You have to own a bike to really get to know what you like!

That's interesting that you liked your Nomad better than the Voyager. Why is that? I found the seat an handling better on the Voyager, but that was it as far as strong selling points.

The Nomad rode better and had more zip than the Voyager. The Voyager is harder to keep in a straight line at slow speeds because of the angle of the fork and for a 1700 it should be quicker than it is. The bike is made to carry and pull a load like a tractor. The other thing the gas tank should be bigger for two reasons, fewer stops at the gas pump and it looks out of proportion to the size of the bike.

I thought the Voyager handles better at low speeds than my Nomad. Not as good a HD touring bike, but better. The seat is a lot better than the stock Nomad or a Mustang too. I wasn't impressed with the power, it seemed to shake more and the shifting was clunkier. All in all, it seemed more like an Ultra than what the 1600 is. Yes, the tank is small for a touring bike.

Yea the clunky 6 speed is an embarrassment, I never use the first couple of gears.
