Reckless brackets for 1500

Can anyone confirm this is the general shape of the bracket that goes to a nomad 1500 for the reckless fairing?

I ask because I got my fairing in and I got 2 of these brackets. They seem to be short to fit my bike.

Wondering if I either got the wrong brackets or something on the front of my bike is different so I would have to fab my own brackets.

Oh and thats just the protective film thats chewed up not the actual bracket.

Thanks

Front of your bike shouldn't be any different. It is possible the wrong brackets were sent. Guess you will just have to tear into it and see for sure.

Found a few surprises on bike so it wouldn't surprise me if something is different on the bike and these are the correct brackets.

There are considerable differences between the FI bikes and yours.

The carb bikes have more in common with the Classics.

The windshields ARE different, so that would lead me to believe the mounts are different.

See if you can hold of Joe (Chuckster) Norris. He is making brackets and could probably answer this question definitively.

Good Luck

Talked to Alex from reckless today. Not only did they send me the wrong brackets but sent me the wrong brackets.

Sending me out new stuff today with postage paid UPS sticker for me to send all this back.

Super nice guy. Knows I am on a time crunch with getting this painted and installed for the red woods trip I am still hoping to make. Real easy to slam a company but to be honest Alex has made this pretty painless with top notch communication.

Says a lot when he is willing to send out a new fairing and brackets and not even wait for this to be returned. Most companies I have dealt with wouldn't do that, especially on a $300+ part that could easily be resold.

Glad you will be receiving the correct brackets. Mighty good of them to rush them out to you.

I mentioned that to him. Thanked him again for that. Although I didn't win it, I take great solace in the fact I got to see Coach do an interesting war cry and dance a jig when they called his number

Mistakes happen with any business. It's how you address those mistakes that make or break you with customers and IMO he has certainly done very well.
