Still think both slogans could be used.

OK..... poll has closed and "The Vulcan Nation" has won by two votes.

As stated before, I will make a courtesy contact with Kawasaki Corp. and ask if we can use that as our slogan. If Kawasaki Corp states that we cannot use that phrase for whatever reason, (I'm not in the mood to dampen our relationship with Kawa nor hire a lawyer to defend the right to use the winning phrase), then the second place winner of "Hard Bags, Good Times, Great Friends" will be the winner.

I have a prize ready to ship, but will wait to hear from Kawa before pronouncing a final winner. Once I hear back from Kawa, I'll announce the winner and contact them for a shipping address.

Even if "The Vulcan Nation" can't be used due to MaKaw, whoever suggested it should get some sort of prize anyway. I don't know how much your prize costs (and it's none of my business) but I'd pitch in a few bucks if it comes to that. As far as I'm concerned, everyone who submitted a valid suggestion should at least get a big ATTABOY. There were some great suggestions.

If MaKaw says no, I'd be curious as to the reason as the Name "Vulcan" is not and can not be trademarked since the Name Vulcan is Latin for fire and the name is already used in many companies.

I'm doing it purely out of courtesy, BD. We could probably go ahead and use it.... but for once, I'm being nice.

Hey genius: Actually “ignis” means “fire” in Latin. Vulcan was held to be the son of Jupiter and Juno and is called the god of fire and volcanoes.

E Pluribus Anus = Out of one ass comes many bums.
E Pluribus Wiggum = An episode of The Simpsons
