Cobra Fi2000 PowrPRO

Anyone running with the all new Cobra Fi2000 PowrPRO? It sounds like a great unit but a little pricey at $599.00. It says you will never have to have your bike dynoed or mapped again. What I have read from reivews and product information it seems to be a great improvement. Anyone out there had first hand experience with this unit and if so how do you like and what did it do for your performance?

no experience with it but the street price on it seems to be around $469.

I have run one for about 2k miles now, it runs good for me. As far as performance you need to let the bike breathe ( exhaust and air kit) then comes the need for a fuel tuner. With the three mods, performace is up and fuel mileage is up a little too if your just cruising not twisting the right wrist a lot. I have a 1700 Nomad, not sure if anyone here is running one with the 1500/1600.

Not first hand but me stealer says several of his customers have them and they work great. It has to be great though for twice the price of a TFI.

Really thinking of getting the Cobra PowrPro. Anyone else out there have one and how is it working?

Cobra claim they will only work on US Spec bikes (as per their website), as I enquired about one for my (Australian) Nomad. They also couldn't tell me the difference between countrys as they have only worked with those available on the US market.

Do you notice a rumbling when you deceal that you did not notice with the stock pipes? It is not really a back fire or popping but sounds like an engine brake engaging on a semi truck.

It has a nice rumble on decel, you might hear some popping if you rev really high and then decel but with normal running it sounds good. I also have the freash air line blocked off, some call it marbling.

I have used one for 8,000+ miles. I can use 87 octane gas and no ping. I think I get a little better gas mileage. I know that I have better throttle response at low speeds.

Thumbs Up

UPDATE on COBRA CVI POWRPRO

Rode up in the mountains this weekend and the new exhaust and CVI worked great. With the marble modification done did not have any backfiring issues. Bike is really running well. The sound of the Cobra True Duals coupled with the CVI is a great combination and is working great. I would highly recommend it.
