The blue jewel in a red lens is illegal in NY State.

At the time I thought I was rasin' Hell But everyone else was yelling Jesus get down!

The night before i had been playin Fog Horn and yellin' for Mat to bring my horse.

I used to be able to get up there doing chin ups from the inside even with a fire going.

Anyway that part number is 8887R Bullet Light rear red DF 1 per box.

These are pretty nice I think, and run a std 1157 bulb, which shows no sign of melting the lens.

Every thing is illegal in NY TC.....

I don't run one of the blue jewels either, but like you I don't do much more work than I have to.

I really like triangles of light though, which I believe helps keep me safer.

The idea I have goes like this: From a distance another driver will see either a solid red light, which gaining on me will become 2 lights then gaining more will become 3, and so tell my approximate distance.

I have small white passing lamps aimed low on the front for the same effect.

IMO you cant have to many lites on a bike!

I also put some green led accent lites under my gas tank to show off the chrome.
You know why I chose green? Cause green is the only color you can run legally when riding. I tried blue one time and everyone thought I was the police!
But not sure if the green goes to good with the chrome, so now am thinking about changing to clear/white LEDs.
Green is volunteer fire dept here, although I doubt they would bother you much for them regardless.
