[quote:1sbwhg41]I've been looking at some of this guys stuff. Not much on the "flames" for the windshield, but I like it on the headlight bucket and the air cover. Since it's just decals...doubt there's much difference between the 1500 & 1600.

I dunno, he doesn't seem to know the difference between a windshield and an air filter cover. ???[/quote:1sbwhg41]

Seller shows the flames on windshields too...you gotta look at his storefront

I clicked on the link and saw "windshield graphic" and all the pictures were of air filter covers. That's why I made that observation.

CJ

1) Try drilling and tapping the stock cover.

2) If that fails: Add ball of JB Weld behind it (after sanding the cover behind the hole for a rough surface). Put a bit of that behind each hole, and let it harden for 24 hours. Then redrill the holes where they were and tap them again. Assemble.

I put JB weld on a thermostat housing and tapped it on a BMW car I had that the threads stripped on and it lasted 6 months (didn't fail) until I decided to change the housing.

I looked at them again today and put a straightedge across the air filter covers. They are not very flat. I couldn't tell very well the other day because it was dark and my garage wasn't well-lit. I really don't think the thunder inserts would work satisfactorily.
