Replacement Shocks?

I am thinking about replacing my air shocks for a set of regular old time, non-air, shocks. Any one know which ones would be a straight swap? I don't need to change the any thing about the way the bike sits. Also, where is the best place to get the standard type shocks?
Thanks for your time.

Plenty of folks install Progressive 412HD shocks, and there are a few other models that will fit depending on how much you want to spend. You'll find heaps on Ebay if you search, and some list all the alternatives in their auctions.

But why do you feel the need to change? Unless they're not holding air any longer they're pretty good shocks. I recently rebuilt mine using Gadget's instructions and 15W oil instead of the OEM 10W, and it's like a whole new machine. I've had Progressive shocks and springs on my last two bikes, and in my opinion these are every bit as good, with the air providing a wider range of adjustment.

Thanks folks. The price of those 421's is out-flipping-ragious. I paid a bunch less for life time shocks for a 3/4 ton Dodge. And it had 4 shocks. I must be getting really long in the tooth.
Thanks for your time

Stock on my 05 is 13" i believe. I installed 11.5", and lowered the front at the same time as i was going to have to replace fork seals anyway and wanted to change to 20w fork oil.

There's a pair for sale locally that are 4209C, 12.5"

They aren't the HD (Heavy Duty), but I won't be riding at or near max load rating over 50% of the time as Progressive suggests in their guideline.

For a used shock with 6500 miles on them, I'm not sure about the asking price of $80. Anyone have an idea on the lifespan of these things?

I don't know but I've got 32,000 miles on my 08 Nomad's factory shocks and they are just fine.

Apparently there are several shocks that will work. Are all the eye holes on the top and bottom a standard size? How can you tell what will fit the mounting bolts?
Thanks for your time
