2011, 2012, 2013 Vaquero

Hi forum,

I am considering a Vaquero. Besides external appearance changes are there any significant engine, tech or functional differences between those years?

Thank you

Probably some wildly advanced technical progress in the 3011 model.

+1 om the 3011. I bet that thing flys. No really, I bet it really does fly.

The only differences that I'm aware of on any vaquero model is the available colors. There might be an abs version somewhere in the world.

Folks are just having fun. Its a great group of folks on here but we all have a sense of humor. I think the differences are only color related. I like the red ones myself but have seen some folks on the forum who have the black vaquero and have "blacked it out" and it looks damned good.

What Dale said. Just jerkin' yer chain. I kinda liked the green color but my tastes run a little wild.

I saw one of the green ones yesterday while I was out on a ride. That color is really beautiful live. I have seen pics but actually in front of you looks awesome.

There's still a few new 2011s out there that must be priced pretty good....

If I not mistaken you only have to travel to Canada to see the abs versions.

I've read of a few heat issues with the 2011's and that was fixed in 2012 by adding another fan toward the rear of the engine, I think. It's been awhile since I've read any of the threads about it though... so I could be wrong.

I installed a Toyz air filter kit, removed the plastic on the other side and them drilled a 1" hole through both baffle plats in both exhaust pipes and realized a dramatic increase in torque through out most of the power band and a much cooler running engine on my Vaquero. The bike sounds amazing with out increasing the decibels much at all and now I can lift the front up out of the hole with ease ;)

I'm intrigued. Can you post pics (or a web link) to show the steps taken to do the install?

Some of us are blacking out our red ones too. Although at a snails pace....

Well, I still say the black ones are fastest, but no one can see it cuz they are black ...

And they all suck money out of your wallet from all the mods you simply can't refuse to do ... sort of like taking the grandkids to the ice cream shop, no way you're getting out of there without spending some money!
