Neither... they simply suck compared to an air-horn.

If you think a HD cowbell is a loud horn, then you need to compare it to a good air-horn sometime... you'll hear a huge difference.

I will be replacing my new one when the spring rolls around. Then I'll have two on the shelf in the garage... where they need to be.

No use for an air horn. I'm riding a bike not a truck. I know a lot of people like air horns but I find them obnoxious.

If I were you, I wouldn't go to the trouble of mounting one, but would rather go for an air-horn of some sort. It requires more installation and a relay switch to avoid burning-out your horn button -- but if you want a decent sounding horn it is just about the only way to go in my opinion.
The issue I have with the Vaq, is I would like something similar to stock, not too obtrusive. I put the Stebel on my Nomad. Nice and loud, but don't like the look for the Vaq.

If you're already use to an air horn then all other horns will sound weak.

Haha you should come down here and ride. Even air horns aren't loud enough. Train horns maybe, but I can't find a place for them on my vaquero.

I don't use it unless I need it, so I am not going around honking the horn all the time.

I always thought a horn was to be used when you needed to get someone's attention to avoid an accident.

Obnoxious appears to fit the bill in that case then.

I don't want a "nice sounding" horn that says "excuse me, but you are about to cut me off and run me off the road".

I agree with the Stebel horn not being a good look.

Anything has to be better than stock though.

I think the little rubber squeaky horn from WalMart for bicycles would be better than the stock horn.
