tire websites?

where online is everyone buying their tires?

i've checked all the normal sites, jakewilson, dennis kirk, revzilla, mc superstore, jpcycles, bike bandit, etc. etc.. even amazon to find the correct tire sizes.

i'm currently running ME880 radials front and rear. 130-90-16 and 180-70-16. Apparently, Metzler no longer makes the ME880 130-90-16 front radial, or at least, i sure can't find it any more.

i'd prefer to have radials, as i love the metzlers but i can't find the correct size front radial in either an Elite 3, Avon Cobra, CommaderII or ME880. The only option is see is going back to bias ply. I did find CommanderII bias ply set from bike bandit if I go with the 180-65-16 rear.

I get good deals at my local independent MC dealer. He is normally within 10 or 15 dollars of buying on line and I can check the date code before he installs them. All the tires I have bought from him are always 3 months or less from date of manufacture. $25 to install and spin balance. I want him to stay in business.

I appreciate that. I'm glad someone has an honest local guy. My local guy charges $30 per rim to mount - that's with me bringing the rim in to him - and buying the tires from him. he charges $120 per rim if i ride the bike in to him. he also charges at least $150 more per pair of tires than if I buy them online. It's not worth my money to support him. Especially since he screwed me on the initial purchase of the bike! my clutch spring needed replaced when i bought the bike from him used... i wasn't allowed to test ride before purchase. he told me that i just wasn't "used to a big bike feel"... of course once i replaced the clutch spring the bike pulled like it should!
enough of me complaining about my local dis-honest dealer!

- I might add that he REFUSED to fix the clutch for me.

I have used www.americanmototire.com several times over the last several years and have been pleased with their prices and fast shipping to my door. I change my own tires, using dyna beads for balancing.

Thanks guys. Americanmototire had exactly what I needed. i decided to try the elite 3's this time around since i'm getting terrible mileage out of my metz.

thanks!

They tend to get a little noisy after a few miles. OK tires though.
