I got screw loose.

Found this in the driveway. It is the same style screw that is used for the plastic/chrome trim along the rear fender. It is also used on the rear fan, and the speaker grills. I have been all over the bike, can't find an empty hole (story of my life).

Any ideas gang?

It's the 5mm one, not the windshield.

Check the side cover on the KAM fan I pulled in drive the other day and 3 of the 4 screws were gone and the cover was hanging by one

I checked that, but apparently the bike isn't the only one with a screw loose in this situation. Based on your post I checked again, and yep that was it. Rest were a tad loose also. Much appreciated sir.

I also found one on the garage floor. Put it back in the KAM fan shroud. Rode to Tennessee and found that two were missing. Ordered two from dealer and used some loc-tite.
I used a little too much. The excess melted the plastic shroud in seconds. A new fan shroud was $34.00. If I try again I will only use a minuscule amount. I am also going to see if local True Value has screws of same size in case they vibrate out again I will have extras on hand. Windshield screws also have loosened up a bit, but are easier to keep an eye on.

Fingernail polish works as good as loctite and won't melt plastic.

I have used oil based paint too! I'm unsure about melting plastic though

Plumbers tape might help. I am going to go with some lightweight star washers. Those crush easily and hold well.

If you are sitting on your bike, looking down at the fairing where the lower meets up with the upper fairing where the space is in between the two, just down, is where that bolt holds the lower fairing to the bracket facing you as you sit on the bike. Check both sides.
