Lithium Ion Motorcycle Batteries

Does anyone know much about these, Pro's and Con's:

Ballistic Performance Lithium EVO2 12V 4Cell Motorcycle Battery,135 Amps

They're advertized in EBay. Never heard about them before.

Thanks,
Steve

This battery does not work in the cold!!!

By Donny on May 17, 2013
This battery has left me stranded every time it got below 50 degree. The company said that this was normal for this battery in the cold. They now say it is for Race Only and Not for Cold Conditions for my bike. They would not refund my money. So much for that 3 year warranty!! Buyer Beware!!

135 amps? Wouldn't hold my breath on starting it when it's cold. Maybe even warm.

Bought a bikemaster truegel for the old C90. Had a 2 year full replacement warranty. Made it 25 months. I'll just stick with the cheaper AGM.

Personally, I'd leave the lithium ion batteries for the cordless impact driver and stick with a good agm battery. Still running the original battery in my 2008 and yes I am on borrowed time but my point is, what is wrong with that kind of performance.

I decided to try out the battery tender lithium. Put it in last fall and it has been running strong. I don't have any extras on the bike but start ups are quick and strong. Have to see how long it lasts.

I've been running a Deltron lithium ion for 4 years. No problems. It does work in the cold. I cranked it at 35 degrees. I bought the one that has 435 cranking amps. No problems.
Like anything new you will hear all kinds of stupid answers.
Do you think they could market a product that hadn't been tested?
I don't . They couldn't stay in business.

With a little research on the net, there are a few common problems/issues associated with using lithium batteries in bikes.
However, after weighing up the pro's and con's I Ebayed an SSB Powersport Ultralite Lithium battery. 20AH with 360 cold crankin amps - LFP20CH-BS.
I purchased a battery charger/tender that suited lithium type batteries as well.
It was only installed last February but have had no issues with it so far.
It is now the start of our winter here (generally 0 to 15 degrees Celsius ) so will be keeping an eye on performance.
The big + for me was losing 4kg of weight.
Pete.

Since I put in the Lithium Ion battery I've never needed a charger.
It has sat for 3 weeks and cranked up with no problem.

As in all products on the web, you will have proven/tested products, and you will have knock-offs. If I were to get a Lithium battery, I would go with a company (like Battery Tender/Deltran) that has a proven record.

Deltran suggests that in below freezing weather to turn the key on and wait
For the battery to warm up then crank. I have the 480 cold cranking amps so it
Has never hesitated.
They say--- if you run it down using it to listen to the radio below 8 volts you may need to charge it. I've never experienced that. My radio cuts of at 11 volts. That still cranks
The bike.
My bike has been sitting for over a week. I checked the voltage and it was 13.7
