Squeak
Ok so I have what I hope isn't a major problem. The last couple days I've noticed a slight chirp coming from the lower right front of my engine, but was only occasional.
Today coming home I noticed it more and a little louder almost every time I would Rev down a gear or a throttle snap in neutral. Curiose what is in that area that might cause a squeal/chirp, wondering if it's possibly water pump? Thanx in advance for any advice.

Check all the clamps on your exhaust shields. Sounds like you might have lost or a loose clamp.

That was the first thing I looked at tonight when I got home, don't have any tools with me but definitely can't twist any of them.

Since it does it with a quick snap in neutral, I would have someone rev the bike on it's stand while I listened for the source with a short piece of hose to try and isolate the source.

I like the hose idea. I picture putting a small funnel in the distant end to make it even better. I've used a piece of paper rolled into a cone before.

Well I actually found 2 things, thing the first.....loose and worn bottom rad mount as well as a broken heat shield mount after the goat bladder. The broken mount appears like it was well dedicated in place to the exhaust? The squeak/scraping sound I was hearing I'm pretty sure is the 2 exhaust covers rubbing near the front of the bike.

Good to hear it was not so hard to locate. On the rad mount, I believe there have been guys on here in the past who developed leaks from viberation at the lower mount. You may want to do a search or maybe some one will post who has had the issue.

Poor man's mechanics stethoscope, works quite well and in a pinch a dowel type piece of wood a coupe of feet long transmits the noise well too.
