I have no interest in changing the exhaust or intake on my bike. Is the flash really going to make much of a power difference? Or will I mostly notice improved drivability?

Check out the dyno graphs on Ivans website.

My bike has stock intake and exhaust and the Ivan flash was was quite a noticeable improvement in drive-ability and performance. I have a stock ECU to install when I head to Alaska each year, no premium fuel along the Alcan, and even more noticeable going back to stock........ yech!

I am stock exhaust and intake. I didn't do it until part way into last summer. I am still PO'd at myself for waiting half a season. Learn from my mistake, do it. :)

I also had my bike stock for about 5,000 miles after the reflash and it did make a huge difference in how it ran. Now with the Cobra Tri Flo mufflers and Chuckster's BAK it is even better. I would say that even if you are going to stay all stock that you will be amazed at the improvements with the reflash.

Thanks for all the input. The obvious choice is to have the ECU flashed. One more season and I will be sending it out over the winter. Looks like it will give me that little bit of power I have been looking for.

Ride to Alaska from Ontario, nice....

I rode from Calgary to Whitehorse in 1999. Great trip, probably one of my top 5 for sure.

Indeed, a great ride. Voyager has been up the Alcan 4 times and has the stone chips and calcium chloride rust to proudly show off. Next trip that way will be to Tuktoyaktuk when the road is opened but I'll be riding my Super Tenere on that one.
