2019's
Looks like Kawasaki put the new 2019's up on their web site. Voyager is imperial blue with grey and The Vaquero is some butt ugly version of grey with gold accents. What the H is going on with motorcycle & car companies and their love affair with black/grey/silver paint? Is black paint cheaper? Or is there some kind of stupid polling data that says people like black cars and motorcycles?

The Vaq does look like it went through a bar code printer... But Black and Gold should sell well in Pittsburgh.

A few positives
I went looking for positives and found this article. Notice the Motor pic. LMAO
https://motorcycleupdates.com/2019-k...aquero-review/ All I have is , They still Make it One more year of parts Since it is still in production Maybe we will see more after market parts? And I remember when it first came out, I hated the fairing shape. But grew to love it. So maybe the paint and stickers will not be so weird as time goes by. Weird part for me this year is no Versys 400. I thought for sure it would come this year. But just the Ninja 400

I don't like the slanted gold trim on the Vaquero. It looks like someone went to work with a hangover.

I have to agree with the comments from Redjay and Smokier. Makes me want to keep my 2015 Vaquero forever.

Black & gold, Burt Reynolds just died, duh.
The Voyager looks like a 80’s Harley with that color scheme. I still think the 2010 Black/Red was a really nice combo on the voyager.

For sure Kawasaki is giving the Vaquero a Jet Ski kinda look. Making it appeal to the younger generation of crotch rocket owners just by the decals.
As a Kawasaki owner rider for 15yrs I've been waiting several years now for some changes on the Display/Instruments and is just not happening. It's like 1980's LCD technology on the displays and when you have a Kawasaki 1700 with bumped up performance it's lacking across the board. Prices are lower but looking overall it's to a point that's not the case. Kawasaki is mass producing the Vaquero and Voyager with one color and outdated instrumentation. My wait for an in between Kawasaki 900's (????) 1700's it's just not there. There are many of us who want a Classic Style 1200cc with 6 speed -abs-with new instruments that fill in the question mark's gap. Sometimes when traveling by horse back I'll take off from the main trail to reach a different horizon, this could be the time for me. |

On a positive note, just think of all the left over inventory they will have when these don’t sell, may get enough of a discount to afford to repaint.

From here, https://motorcycleupdates.com/2019-k...aquero-review/
We get this kind of useless BS marketing blather, "A 102mm and 104mm jar in the lower half of the hair dampens us, and the pressure ratio of 9.5 to 1 means you will not have to buy the distinctive champagne in the pump. A 42-mm throttle pair measures the fuel, and the six-speed transmission, powered by a positive neutral wave probe, sends the energy down the carbon-enhanced motor belt to make the final connection to the platform." I can figure out what it really means, but c'mon just use real terms. "Lower half of the hair dampens us" sounds like some weird Jefferson Starship term from a 70s rock song. Dude, its like uh, "powered by a positive neutral wave probe!" All that before you "make the final connection to the platform" (sounds like lawyer speak for a plane crash).
