I had the series 1 on my 2006.They worked well. They will need painted to match.
I got mine used and they were not painted and had a lot of stone pits. I sanded them smooth, and plastic dipped them black. It seem to hold up well, probably better than paint and a good clear coat. The stone just bounce of the rubber coating. https://jtdcycleparts.net/en-gb/seri...torcycles.html

I've heard of members modifying some HD hard lowers.
I wonder what model and year is used without having to modify my crash bar.
