You blew the cap off the throttle body, if you removed the crap you would for coasters, and if you still have that crap mess of vac line to reed valves you blew off one or the the other end of the hose that goes there.. One end at the throttle body the other at the vac pod.

So the tank must come up, and don't run the bike with this big air sucking vac leak till you fix it.

Oh I see you don;t have ISC's anymore but you still have the reed valves and the crap that worked them till you stuffed a marble up the hose huh?

The rest of that crap is still hiding behind everything else??

Lookin like that to me.

So with the tank up you will be looking for what I call Mesua's head. Bob Yellow Jacket has a on line picture of it somewhere.. A lot of good that will do if he doesn't pop back in here, because i don't have the means to get that pic up..

this computer is antique, just like me, and my bail out money hasn't shown up yet.

SO, Once the tank is cleared off the bike and you can cheat some but i sure wouldn't... I would take if right off and be done with it.

If I am right and I think I am, there is 3 possible places....

The hose has blown off the throttle body fitting, and will be near by the brass port, which you SHOULD cap off right now.

The hose may have blown off at the vac pod with all the snakey looking hoses going to the reed valve bodies. The hose you are after is the thinnest one of all by the way, and you can trace it back to the throttle body easy this way.

And if both ends are in place see of both ends were cracked and heated to become brittle or loose..

In any case cap off where the brass port is!

The last place is the pod itself could have gone to leaking, but that isn't very likely.

Chucksters Coasters cost 25 buck a set and a bike needs just one set. He includes nice chrome hardware with his sets too.

I installed a set he makes on another guys bike, so I know that if I hadn't already made my own I would have bought his.

The tank needs to come off pretty much to get the medusa head junk out from under the tank, which if you want you can do now.

You will follow the big hoses to eachreed valve and cap the reed valves then too.. You need a bunch of caps in from small to large sizes, and later with the tank on you can do the coasters, and get rid of more junk..

Getting fingers in the area isn't so easy but with a little time and some patience anyone can swap out coasters. These come ready for paint. I just use hi temp flat black from any auto stores.. no real need to prime these, but I do get them de-greased.

If you are the one who put that air filter set up on you shouldn't have any problems.

Oops not quite, I forgot about those 2... The important thing is it is fixed and you are happy.

One of these days get coasters and clean up the mess under the tank. The bike will look even better.

Ice i got this big glass ball, and I pretend to see things in it, and my wife ain't any terrible bright either, so she believes me.

I told her her bugs were in the shower for 3 whole weeks and got to paint the gas tank on Liberty in there instead of her doing what ever women do in there..

She gets to see the internals on engines and that sort of thing and wonders all about it. Sometimes she has to catch herself as she will start telling me what I need to do to fix the things. She is usually 100% wrong too when it comes to that, but she does things I can't in other ways..

One thing I really like about the Nomad is she can't see the speedo. Once she was in my case about how fast I drive cars, that I hauled out the speedo, spun it up on a drill to see how fast that was, and once I knew, I pulled the needle off and put it back 10 mph slower than what was real..

I can keep her pretty busy
