Walmart Battery?

Would any of you folks know off hand the part number for a Walmart battery that goes in a 2006 Nomad. Planning on a long trip and seems Walmarts EVERYWHERE! Thanks in advance..

As far as I know Wal-mart does not have a battery to fit the 1600 Nomad or at least the ones around here don't have them if they did I would not have paid $92.00 for one last week.

Nope, Walmart...any of the big box parts stores....they don't carry this battery.

Mark,

Save your money and put a better battery in. I have used a walmart battery once. Stupid thing wouldn't last more than a year or two in the pickup.

well a friend of mine has a wal mart battery in his yamaha venutre and it on year 4.

If you think you may need a battery, you're better off buying one and putting it in before you hit the road. You don't have any control over when and where it emits its last electron and Murphy's Law says it will be in the least convenient location possible.

If you deal with a Local garage that sell Interstate batteries they can order you one.. The guy I use sells it to me at cost.. we fuel 15 trucks a week at his pumps :) so that helps me LOL

he makes a VERY good point..Wal-Marts EVERYWHERE...if Walmart does carry it, I would think this would be a great option to help not being stranded somewhere

BUT

I seem to recall (could be wrong) the the battery book did have a battery to fit the Nomad...however I have never seen one on the shelf...

Wal-Mart went through a run of poor quality batteries a while back. Seems Exide was putting out more crap than usual. I bought a battery there when I was working for them in 2001. Stuck it in my street rod. It's still working but this might be the last season, it grunts a little more than it should.

The Battery book in Wal Mart in Bangor Me. does not list the 1500 or 1600 Nomads

I have never purchased a WalMart battery I did not have to return. 4 total have been purchased and every one returned for early failure. Please save your self the hassle and spend a little more money.

My original battery died in early 05. I replaced it with a Dekka that lasted till this spring. Went to wallyworld and found a similar size and cca battery and put it in. Lasted a week! Spued acid down the tube and all over my garage floor :( . Got another Dekka.
