Everybody Okay?

Weather looked pretty rough in OK, AR, and MS yesterday and today. We were very fortunate in the KC area and have no problems. Is everybody else okay?

That was just a little rain and 40 MPH winds nothing to worry about except I was going to Alabama today and they are still calling for 25 to 30 MPH winds so I don't think I will go but everybody around here are OK thanks for asking.

My Mom's assisted living home is about a mile north of the the tornado that went through Clinton, MS so they missed it. It did a lot of damage in town but so far I haven't heard of any deaths (or many injuries). I got a lot of wind and rain at home but no damage.

According to the news, "There were four injuries related to the tornado touchdown, but no fatalities." We got a bunch of high wind just west of there in LA, but no bad weather. I saw some folks trying to have a yard sale but all their stuff kept blowing off the tables. I'm not sure how much money they made, but I'm sure they earned it :) . They should have truly made it a garage sale ... in a garage ... instead of a yard sale.

I think I read that 16 total were killed. None here in Alabama that I know of. Really tragic.

You must be talking about the full path of the storm. I was talking about just the touchdown in Clinton, MS ... outside Jackson. Either way ... still a tragedy. I hate to hear it.

I caught very heavy rain and wind on I-10 between Lake Charles and Lafayette yesterday afternoon. Traffic had slowed down from 80 mph to 30 mph for several miles. No hail there. Saw where in Angie, north of Bogalusa, there was damaging winds and 2" hail.

A tornado touched down about 20 miles from us virtually wiping out one small town and claiming 2 lives, we didnt suffer any damage, but had straight line winds over 100 mph that took down alot of trees

The Spring storms this year have been brutal, even this far South.

Glad to hear from everyone. News had mentioned a tornado in SE Oklahoma and I didn't have time to find the town on the map. Sure am glad it missed you and Katie.

Jim- in the spring time, if I did not ride when then wind is blowing 25+ I would not ride much.

All is well here - storms were to the south of us.

Hard rain, strong winds, light hail, nothing major. All over by 8:00 PM.

I lost some tin from the carport roof, some rolled roofing from my bike shop, and a few shingles from another shop.

The dang fire bugs were out in full force. All the local fire departments were out and maxed out fighting mostly arson fires.

Last weekend we had a couple of E1 tornados about 10 miles from here. About 200 homes were damaged and countless trees and fences. I had some 70-80 straight line winds but no damage. Very thankful.
