Coolant Temperature sending unit question
Hi, I was threading in my Coolant Temperature Sending Unit (after I installed my New fan sending unit) and the Coolant Temperature Sending Unit twisted off...I got it out, and the radiator is sitting on my workbench. The temp. sending unit simply lets me know if my bike is over heating (red light warning switch). Question: Does anyone know if a 2005 1500 would fit my 2000 1500 nomad? They both have the same ends...Has anyone switched one of these successfully? Thanks, Jody
P.S. The reason I'm asking is that there is a used one on Ebay for a few bucks (Not sure what the Dealer wants for one since it's currently closed) Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Coolant Temperature sending unit question
... According to Bike Bandit, the temp coolant sending units are the same. :)

Coolant Temperature sending unit question
They want $62 for one here at the dealer...ouch...They are obviously very proud of them...Think I'll go with a used one first to see if it works...Jody

Coolant Temperature sending unit question
I can't figure out that, although I have my radiator out and everything unplugged to my sensors, why my temperature light comes on, then goes off after a few seconds (like normal) when I turn the key on...I thought it should not even come on with the sensor unplugged...any thoughts? Jody

Coolant Temperature sending unit question
It is going through the light test sequence. It has nothing to do with the sensors.
