And Chuck on covered a few areas of wasteful spending. IRS is another area that could save millions. Do a flat tax on everyone. No more filing income tax. You pay flat tax rate and it is gone. Do away with 90% of the IRS workers. Think of the millions that would save.

There are several "easy flips" to put the economy on a better track. None of them will ever get done because they are not "PC" enough, and the politicians that would have to sign them are too worried about "Who gets the credit" (or blame) for the fix. Also the rich and powerful don't want to loose their "entitlements" that would have to be redirected to make most of the "fixes" work.
