Future motorcycle brake lights

I had a thought a while back of a cool brake light design. A laser on the rear of a vehicle that would project the word "STOP" on the ground in the elongated fashion that makes it easy to read from behind.

Today I ran across this for bicycles, it does basically what I was thinking except this is an always-on thing, not a brake light.
I think it's an awesome idea for bicycles, a slow moving vehicle. It catches attention, and makes motorist aware of which direction the bike is moving.
Motorcycles wouldn't require the "lane" projection, but what would it hurt !

That is neat. Actually the lane projection wider than the motorcycle may not be such a bad idea either.

I went to their website which was sparse and used their comment link to ask if they have considered offering this product for motrorcycles also.

The actual prototype only projects the lanes and not the bicycle symbol. When moving the bike symbol would only be a green, or red streak that would definitely not resemble a bike symbol.

I don't understand why the symbol would be a streak though. If your eyeballs move with the image as you look at it, you would see the image. IMO. If you were behind such vehicle it would be right in front of you and you wouldn't even have to follow it with your eyes . . . right?

I emailed them too, but I'm not sure that the design hasn't already been stolen/copied/produced. There are products for sale on the buy-directly-from-China website I use for cheap junk or concept designs. Light Lane's website only has 2009 posted as copyright.

Bicycle "laser launchers" come up in the search linked below.

What kind of power would those lasers draw? Most of them seem to be battery powered. I don't think I'd want the hassle or expense of having to change batteries every few days. I think that would work well assuming you could 1) hang it off the back of the bike and 2) get a wide enough pattern. At night, it would at least get someones attention. That's a start.

These are battery powered since they're for a bicycle, but even at that they are rechargeable with what one of them called a "cell phone" charger. That's only 3-5 volts generally. If it ever shows up for motorcycles or cars it would be hardwired I presume. I was imagining something that would mount under the tip of the rear fender. ??? But then the lane projection beams would be aimed much more toward horizontal (to project wide enough), and where they project would be much more affected by lean angle of the bike or the lay of the terrain you're driving on. Whereas a bicycle rarely leans far, especially a commuter, not a racer
But now I'm getting technical over a day-dream

Of course, if it were lane projectors only, and not my "STOP" idea. Those could be mounted to the bottoms of saddle bags, or crash bars (front or rear) easy enough. For non-bagger bikes, maybe they mount to the rear swing arm.

Some laser levels are cheap enough and the one I have has different attachments including one that projects a straight line on the wall or what ever you want. I think you could easily take the guts out of the level and mount one under each saddle bag, but they might not be bright enough.
