Why You Should Join/Support ABATE!

Bad laws, ABATE has your back!
Speakin of cops. I have the displeasure of living near some of the most infamous speed traps in the USA! Lawtey and Waldo!
And right now with so many cities cryin poor, They are out there with one thing in mind, find somethin to fine someone with! So yes, they are looking/fishing for anything they can find.
What they do is look for an excuse (tailite) or whatever, hoping to find drugs/money and or "criminals/outlaws".
Thats why being a member of ABATE is so important!
They recently tried to set up motorcycle only roadblocks to generate "revenue"!
Well Abate shot that down real quick!
That is the power of people joining together to protect and preserve our eroding liberties and freedom! Join and support your local ABATE chapter!!!!

For more information on ABATE and what they stand for, check out thier web site!

http://www.abateflorida.com/

I think this about sums up thier stance of the helmet laws.....

"Dedicated to Freedom of the road....Let those who Ride decide"

"Freedom of Choice,
Defend it
Protect it
Preserve it"

Bob, there's a difference between being anti-helmet and being against helmet laws. ABATE doesn't promote not wearing a helmet. They promote rider choice versus mandatory helmet laws.

This is the 1st I've heard of ABATE but will take a look. I live in Florida and I rarely wear a helmet but wouldn't try to convince anyone not to wear it. Freedom of choice is a wonderful thing. I see some strongly favor atgatt and some against even helmets. My view is it's a personal choice and I can't imagine telling anybody else what they should wear when riding

I'll stick to supporting the AMA Thank You.

They tried to start Abate, Vt. It went under because the membership couldn't agree on anything. Arguments were heated and they decided to not continue with organizing.
