Smile Radio installed in new Reckless fairing

I just finished installing a Jensen JSR2212 waterproof marine radio in my new fairing. I fiber-glassed some studs to mount the case in the fairing. The Waterproof control pannel screws to the face with only one hole to drill to feed the cable through. I have one more part that hasn't come yet, the Sirius receive is to arrive in a couple days. That will complete the project.
It sounds good. Now I can hear my tunes on a trip.

...I think you just helped me find a radio for my future fairing project. Question... How good can you see the display in bright daylight? Also is it too bright at night? Lastly how does it drive the two 6x9s? Plenty of power or does it distort at higher volumes?

The speakers are Poke audio. If I turn it wide open I can start to hear some distortion, but they are plenty loud before that happens. The Panel is well lit at night, (Picture). There is a contrast and brightness adjustment to set it to your liking.

I'll be install my Sirius unit this afternoon. That will make it even better.

Sweet!. I got mine with the (4) 4" speakers. It looks cool, but 6x9s would have been better. Congrats!

Nice! I just ordered the same setup from reckless but just sprung for the Infinity Bluetooth stereo with Polk 6x9's. Can't wait to install it! How was the install? Any issues?

The mounting bracket holes were not drilled the same on each side. I had to move the left bracket to get it straight. Other than that it is great
