Hello all

New Nomad owner here. Picked up an '07 w/less than 9k mi. All it took was one look to turn this "Honda guy" into a Nomad owner.

Well, I hope I can get by with no mods for a while. I completely blew my cookie-money on this toy. My aim was to get something that already HAD all of the stuff on it. But we know how that goes...

Is it worth drilling out the baffles? My wife cringed when she heard me talk about doing it.

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the forum. You can drill the baffles but without removing the GoatBladder, there isn't a significant difference. You will want to eventually go with some after market pipes like the Cobra True Duals or the V&H Baggers. Both are great replacements that are louder without being obnoxious. I have the Cobras and love them.

Welcome from Sin City, Nevada.

I hear you about your wife cringing when you drill holes in something that's seems perfectly fine. Been doing it for years. She never gets used to it. The first sailboat we bought I bored two 2" holes in the bottom before we even put it in the water. She about had a coronary.

Welcome to the bagger family! I'm betting it won't take that mod bug long to bite. ;)

hello

Welcome from Nova Scotia.

My 2 cents is to leave the pipes alone, and enjoy the lack of noise. My V&H Baggers were not a pleasure, and I modified the baffles to quiet them down - didn't work. Put stock back on, and am a happy guy.
